Revolver [Deluxe Edition • Purple Chick][The Beatles]

Segundo trimestre de 1966.

Con ideas de monjes sonando dentro de la cabeza, es como John inicia, junto a los Beatles, Mark 1 que a la postre seria llamado Tomorrow Never Knows (otra grandísima ¿aportación? del buen Ringo). Exigiendo como siempre al buen George Martin, es así como empieza la grabación del que es para mucho el mejor disco de los Beatles.

Revolver es un álbum mucho más elaborado y maduro que sus antecesores. Es la esencia de un cambio que se viene, aunque con algunos tropiezos. Como todo en la vida.

Purple Chick presenta en está ocasión dentro de la serie DELUXE EDITION, a Revolver.

3 CD's con lo más representativo de la época y del disco. Iniciando con los sencillos (Paperback Writer y Rain), pasando por mostrar completos los albums originales tanto en estéreo como en monoaural (MONO MATRIX II) que nos muestra la versión de Tomorrow Never Knows que zumba en la cabeza, así como la versión un poco extendida de Got To Get You Into My Life. ¡Que buen disco!

La verdad, no vale que te lo comente, sino que lo escuches... porque esto es lo que debía ser.

Es el final de 1965. Y los Beatles deciden sacar un álbum nuevamente.

Destacado y elogiado por muchos porque se aleja mucho de las composiciones tradicionales que solían hacer. Gran influencia tuvieron dos factores: El Sitar y Robert Zimmerman. Explotando nuevos horizontes hacen que sea un álbum tomado en cuenta por críticos y algunos payasos dueños de lo que era la música (los nombro porque eran precisamente ello: unos payasos).

Se me ha pasado en los anteriores post comentar las diferencias entre los albums originales (UK) y los hechos para el público estadounidense (US). Importante porque la carnicería que se realizo marco diferencias entre los albums para uno y otro público. Precisamente esto se marco y parodio en la portada de Yesterday And Today con esa famosa portada. (a manera de protesta). Algunas canciones que originalmente aparecieron en la versión UK fueron sacadas para formar parte de Revolver (US). Menuda carnicería, pero que le vamos a hacer.

Un álbum que nos muestra una evolución que junto a los siguientes discos venideros... cambiarían la historia de la música.
